Shannon’s zest for physical fitness has led her to complete multiple marathons, half-marathons, and compete in the 2007 Carla-Sanchez figure competition, placing third, forth, and fifth, respectively, in the various categories of her age and height division.
Shannon found CrossFit in August 2007. Shannon has competed in several local, regional and worldwide CrossFit competitions since finding CrossFit. Although, never athletic as a child, she discovered her passion in training and fitness after high school. She has worked hard to get stronger and more fit with age and believes that anyone with a strong desire can reach a potential he/she never thought possible.
Chris Scrabis

Chris grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and was involved in numerous sports from a young age. While he enjoyed playing baseball, hockey and basketball, his true passion and talent was in volleyball, allowing him to pursue a collegiate volleyball career playing Division I Men’s volleyball. After college he played on 2 National Champion USA Volleyball teams in 2007 and 2009, receiving all tournament team honors. Chris currently plays with an Adult USA Volleyball team but is turning his focus to developing as a beach volleyball player by training and competing in semi-pro beach tournaments throughout the summers. He also serves as a trainer and conditioning coach for volleyball players of all ages, designing programs specific to a volleyball players’ needs.
In October 2008, Chris was introduced to Crossfit, and after 2 classes he was hooked and never looked back. Chris continues to see the immeasurable results Crossfit brings to his volleyball game as well as his overall strength and fitness. Most recently Chris competed in the 2010 CO Open CrossFit Games placing 23rd overall!
Shara Scrabis
Crossfit Level 1 Certified
Shara grew up in Texas and was always involved in athletics, but her passion was mostly for soccer, volleyball, and gymnastics. Though her gymnastics career was cut short when she grew to 5’10”! She is still one of the most flexible people you will ever meet! And after several ankle surgeries, Shara decided to hang up her soccer cleats and focus on volleyball – playing in high school, club, and currently plays women’s adult USA Volleyball – making her début to Volleyball Nationals in 2005. In addition to being an avid volleyball player, Shara also has years of experience coaching and training younger players. She was a coach in Alexandria, VA, and currently provides training and conditioning to a girl’s club volleyball program in CO. Besides her accomplishments in volleyball, Shara has also completed the Marine Corps marathon in Washington DC, as well as the Calgary half-marathon.
Shara started Crossfit in October 2008, and despite multiple surgeries throughout 2009, she has continued to progress in her overall fitness. Most recently, Shara competed in the 2010 CO Open CrossFit Games and placed 31st overall.
Shara likes to spend her "free time" working full-time as an Aerospace Engineer!
Jamie Chrzanowski
Level 1 Certified Crossfit Trainer
Jamie was raised in Arkansas on a small family farm. Although not very involved in organized sports, there as never a lack of hard work to be done at home. Once she graduated high school I journeyed to college at Oklahoma State in Stillwater, OK. As many college kids do, Jamie says she managed to find herself making horrible food choices and not working out. The “freshmen 15” was more like 30 and that number kept growing after graduation.
Jamie is a huge advocate of - if you don’t like the way something is going YOU are the only one that can change it! So she did. Jamie took a new position with the corporation she worked for and relocated to Northwest, Arkansas. Little did she know this move would change her life forever! After a year of going to group classes at the local fitness club, she went to her first Crossfit session. After about 6 months she was hooked! Jamie found that she was down 6% body fat, had lost so many inches she had to buy a new wardrobe (seriously!), but most of all Jamie was happier and healthier than ever before in her adult life. This change has had such a huge impact on her life, she says, "I want to help others on their journey to being better at life"!
